Charles Oppenheimer
Founder and Co-Executive Director of the Oppenheimer Project
Charles has spent his career in software and as an entrepreneur. He believes there is value in representing J. Robert Oppenheimer from a family perspective, and in creating an inclusive organization that all can be involved in via the Oppenheimer Project.
Charles has been an invited speaker at global events and conferences on science and diplomacy, nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear energy. He has appeared in interviews by major media networks such as CNN, TIME and recent documentaries on the subject of his grandfather, the late Dr. J Robert Oppenheimer, his legacy and commitment to international cooperation. Charles has also been published in journals including The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, TIME, USA Today. Prior to founding the Oppenheimer entities, Charles spent more than 20 years in Silicon Valley as a technical architect and angel investor. He is also an early investor in social enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa.
